Orders
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, we do. You can find shipping cost after adding the product to the cart. If no shipping option is available, contact us for updating that region shipping fees.
Can I see the product in person? Do you do online demos?
Unless you are in Madrid, Spain, checking the products in person is complex. We don’t work with distributors to mantain a higher lever of after service as well as mantaining the pricing as competitive as possible.
If you need to see what your system would look like, we can do an online demo. Contact us for scheduling an online meeting 🙂
Can I split payments with no interest?
We offer to split your payments in three with NO interest in collaboration with Klarna. For proceeding, you should select ‘Klarna’ after filling all the shipping and billing details.
Can I pay via bank transfer?
If you need to pay via bank transfer, you can contact us. We’ll send you back a proforma invoice with the payment details. Order will be confirmed once payment receipt from your bank account is shared.
I am an EU company, can I apply VAT exchange?
For EU companies we can apply VAT exchange policy. Please contact us for sending you a proforma invoice with your VAT details. The only payment method accepted for this VAT exchange policy will be via bank transfer.
I need a quotation for a public institution
If you are working with a public institution such as an university, contact us. We’ll create a proforma invoice with the public organization details. On top of that, we can share any extra documentation needed.
Do you have hyper-express shipping options?
If you are in a hurry and need the system as soon as possible. Please, contact us via whatsapp to confirm your the fastest option prior placing the order.
How can I check the shipping cost?
If you want to check the shipping cost, you can add the desired product to the cart. It will be automatically calculated. In any case, you can always contact us!
How can I obtain a refund for an order?
We have a 30 days refund policy. If you are not happy with your product you can opt to a refund. Refund info can be found here: https://cronox-sports.com/return-policy/
Can I deleted an already placed order?
If you have placed an order, but want to cancel it. It is only possible if shipping has not be done. Please contact us with your order details to check all the options.
How does the warranty work?
All Cronox products have 2 years warranty. If you have any issue, please contact us. We’ll solve it as fast as we can. Note, impacts or bad use is not covered under any form of warranty.
System capabilities
What are the differences between the Cronox 2.0 vs 3.0 (wired vs wireless)
Timing gates system measure time between an start and a finish point. The main difference between the Cronox 2.0 (wired) and Cronox 3.0 (wireless) is how the communication between the start and finish point works.
While the Cronox 2.0 works with a wire (50m included, max 150m), the wireless system works via radio.
On top, wireless systems support extra gates for intermediate timing and led display connectivity.
What are the differences between the Cronox 3.0 vs 3.0+?
Wireless system such as Cronox 3.0, can add extra split gates for intermediate timing.
The only difference about Cronox 3.0 and Cronox 3.0+ is the inclusion of an extra split gate.
How many extra split gates can I add to the wireless system?
There is no limit on split gates.
How are the timing gates powered? How long do batteries last?
Each gate is powered with 8xAA batteries (non-rechareable). Rechargeable AA bateries are not permitted due to low voltage (1.2V instead of 1.5V)
If you have bluetooth connected and sensor alligned, normal 8xAA lithium batteries lasts for over 20hrs of use.
If you need rechargeable batteries, you can purchase this extra battery.
How far can I set the photocell and its reflector?
Standard sensors included have a range from sensor to reflector between 2.5 and 3.5m. This distance may vary due to direct sunlight.
If you need further distance (+4m) you can upgrade the kit with a premium long range sensor. Contact us if the standard sensor won’t be needed, so we can a apply a little discount.
Can I get a longer range photocell sensor?
If your application requieres larger range from sensor to reflector, you can add a long range sensor to your setup. If the standard sensor won’t be needed, contact us. We’ll apply a little discount 🙂
Is it very difficult to allign the sensor and reflector?
While distance is between 2-3m, you can easily alling the cells. There is a red light indicator as well as a ‘click-click’ sound. We recommend to practice a few times before hand.
How can I avoid direct sunlight?
Photocells are light sensors, so direct sunlight will interfere in the sensing capabilities. We strongly recommend placing the sensors backing the sun as much as possible and/or using any shadow (ie: a little cone nearby)
On top of that you can add sun protectors to your order for a better performance.
Is possible to measure more than one athlete at a time?
No, all our timing gates products are for individual timing, that means, after one athlete has not completed the test, the next one cannot start. If you need multiple athletes timing, we recommend checking our transponders option at https://transponder.cronox-sports.com
Can I use other tripods that the ones included?
Yes. Tripods mounts are universal, you can use any other that may fit your use better.
The lenght of the photocell cable is 2m, so you can use tall tripods and still mantain the timing unit on the floor.
Is possible to have double beam sensors for better accuracy?

I want to show the timing results in a bigger display.
The best option to display the timings is to use a TV display and mirror your app. The benefit, it is not only seeing the time in live, but also having the log available of the previous times recorded – the opposite to 4-digit led displays.
For Cronox 2.0, what is the longest distance I can have with cable extensions?
The system includes 50m lenght, but you can add up to 150m.
What is the distance range for the Cronox 3.0 (wireless)?
Range is around 300m in clear sight view. In case there are obstacles like buildings, trees, mountains, etc. range will be reduced drastically.

App and software
Is there any subscription fee for the app?
No. App is part of the timing system, there is no subscription fee or extra payment.
What are the modes of timing?
In general we differenciate 3 big timing categories:
– Mode AB: For linear races, where start gate is different from finish gate.
– Mode AA: For circular races, where start gate is the same as the finish gate. The gate B, can be used as an intermediate timing to measure sectors. Most of the agility protocols are a consequence of this mode.
– Reaction times: It is a mode AB line setup, but the start is triggered with the app, either an audio sequence or manual push. In this case, start is made from the app, gate A will become an intermediate timing and gate B as finish gate.
What is the jumping mode?
In athlete testing, the countermomvement jump (CMJ) is a very important paramenter in understanding athletes performance. With Cronox timing system you can use the photocell laying in the floor to measure jump height, flying time, ground time and RSI.

What are the types of start available?
You can do:

Can I recover the data on my PC? Can I export it to CSV?
Yes. With one account you have all your data in all of your devices. Visit app.cronox-sports.com to access your times, download them, create FV curves and compare them.
Can I assign times to athletes?
Yes. Every timing session must have athletes assigned. You can select the athletes in order of starting.
Can I create a session with many athletes from an excel file?
Yes. You can create a timing session from a list of participants in a CSV file. You can do so at app.cronox-sports.com > Create sessions in bulk
I want to share the times to other people. Can I do it?
If you want to share the data, you can generate a public data session link to share the results. Anybody with that link will have access to every result in realtime
I want to create Force-Velocity curves. How can I do it?
There are force velocity in horizontal and vertical. You can do both in app.cronox-sports.com
Where can I download the app?
